An advisory was issued ahead of a "prolonged heat wave" that's set to arrive in Vancouver this weekend.
However, just how hot temperatures will get will vary for each neighbourhood.
While the Vancouver weather forecast will see temperatures near or above 30 C starting Sunday through Thursday, there is some variation across the region. Areas along the water, for example, are a few degrees cooler than those inland, even if they aren't that far apart.
On Saturday, Aug. 12 just before 1 p.m., V.I.A.'s Jericho Weatherhood station shows it will reach a daytime high of 23 C near the water, while the Dunbar one will sit some degrees higher at 26 C during the day.
According to V.I.A.'s Downtown Vancouver weather station, temperatures are expected to peak on Monday, reaching 33 C, and drop back down to 30 C on Wednesday. Sunday and Tuesday will see a high of 32 C.
The heat will start to slightly cool off on Thursday with a daytime high of 27 C.
Nighttime lows are expected to range between 19 C and 21 C.
