Vancouverites may want to keep an umbrella handy next week.
Warm, dry weather and cloudy skies will persist over the Thanksgiving long weekend before heavy rain rolls in, according to V.I.A.'s Downtown Vancouver Weatherhood station.
Temperatures are forecasted to hover around 20 C starting Thursday (Oct. 5) through Sunday (Oct. 8) with slim chances of rain.
Thursday's 18 C will jump to 21 C on Friday and peak at a warm 23 C on Saturday before dropping down to 19 C on Sunday. Friday and Saturday are also forecasted to be dry with a zero per cent chance of precipitation.
The Weatherhood weather forecast calls for chances of rain to increase starting Sunday with showers starting on Monday when the likelihood of rain jumps from Sunday's 12 per cent to a 99 per cent chance of precipitation. A 92 per cent chance of rain is expected on Tuesday.
The downpour will lessen on Wednesday, as will temperatures which will drop to 15 C after Monday's 19 C.
