Those wanting some relief from the heat will get it soon.
A heat advisory was issued for Metro Vancouver on Saturday (Aug. 12), warning of sizzling temperatures over 30 C. In some Vancouver neighbourhoods, temperatures reached 33 C.
According to V.I.A.'s Downtown Vancouver Weatherhood station, temperatures will drop back down to the mid-20s by the end of the week.
Hot weather and temperatures near 30 C will continue Tuesday through Thursday, with zero chance of precipitation, and will cool off to 22 C on Friday.
The upcoming weekend will warm up to 26 C on Saturday and 27 C on Sunday before dropping down again to 22 C on Monday.
