Vancouver weather: Hot temperatures, sunshine expected over the weekend

The City of Vancouver has current information on places to stay cool.

Vancouverites will likely enjoy more sunshine and toasty temperatures over the weekend.

The Vancouver weather forecast includes temperatures several degrees above seasonal averages heading into next week.

Starting on Thursday, July 18, V.I.A.'s Mount Pleasant Weatherhood station shows a high of 25 C with clear skies and sunshine and a low of 18 C (see slide two).

Friday's forecast includes more sunshine, but temperatures are expected to cool off slightly, dropping to a high of 24 C and a low of 17 C.

Other parts of the city, including places by the water, may see cooler temperatures. At Jericho, for example, Thursday is expected to reach a high of 23 C with Friday expected to sit at 22 C. Stanley Park is expected to be slightly warmer than the Jericho area but cooler than inland neighbourhoods. The urban park area should reach a high of 24 C on Thursday and 23 C on Friday.

Vancouver weather forecast includes a warm shift on the weekend

The weekend forecast includes a shift to warmer conditions in the city, with Saturday's forecast showing a high of 27 C and Sunday's showing a high of 26 C in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

Monday also looks dry but temperatures aren't expected to be as warm, reaching 24 C on Monday. Showers are possible late Tuesday and heading into Wednesday.
