Vancouver weather: Major storm pattern to bring heavy rainfall

Don't forget your umbrella.

A significant storm pattern should bring ample rainfall to Vancouver for several days over the next seven days. 

Starting on Wednesday, May 29, V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station is forecasting a high of 14 C and a low of 9 C with a 62 per cent chance of showers bringing up to 7 mm of rain (see slide two).

The showers are expected to continue through Thursday morning but the afternoon is expected to clear; a high of 15 C and a low of 10 C are also likely. 

Friday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud during the day but there is a chance for some more wet weather overnight. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 18 C and a low of 8 C.

Unsettled weather will produce varying amounts of precipitation over the weekend, with Saturday expected to receive up to 7 mm of rainfall and Sunday's forecast showing as much as 16 mm. 

Monday is expected to receive the lion's share of precipitation over the next week. The Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows a whopping 40 mm of rain could fall throughout the day. 

Tuesday also looks wet, with as much as 21 mm of rainfall in the forecast.
