Sandra Thomas

Sandra Thomas is an award-winning journalist, who was once named best investigative reporter for B.C. and Yukon. But, what Sandra has always believed is, no matter how big or small the story, it’s the people involved who are at the heart of every issue.
Sandra was a reporter with the Vancouver Courier community newspaper for more than 20 years, before the paper closed due to Covid, and has now joined the Coast Reporter and is thrilled to have made the move from the city to the Sunshine Coast. Sandra is looking forward to meeting and learning from residents of the Coast community.
Sandra is also a travel writer and is vice-chair of the board of the Travel Media Association of Canada – B.C. and Yukon Chapter.
