Hi everybody, Arlo again.
I got my dad to read through the last few weeks worth of posts on the site and pick out something totally awesome for me to do this weekend and he found Randy's entry about Capilano River Park and decided it was time to visit the fish hatchery there. Here's me kickin' it in front of a tank filled with a few thousand little fishes...
As you walk/roll into the place they have all kinds of display cases and plaques and posters and stuff that teach you about the different types of salmon...
They've even got cases with life-like displays with plaques in all different kinds of languages so that the people we saw getting off of tour buses can learn too...
Other displays show what kinda stuff you need to get so you can catch em!
Near the end of the line is that big tank of fishes that I'm hanging out in front of in the first photo. There are so many of em...
And this is how many they grow in tanks every year and put into the ocean...
So cool! There's another fish hatchery just past Squamish that we're going to visit soon so we can do a Sea To Sky Highway Highlights post about it.
