DISCORDER MAGAZINE’S TOP 50 VANCOUVER BANDS OF THE DECADE

A couple of weeks back I was invited to be on a jury for Discorder Magazine‘s BEST OF THE DECADE. Each of the 33 people on the jury were instructed to list their top ten Vancouver acts of the last ten years, then those results were tallied up and a master list was made. I’m happy to report that the act I listed as my all-time favourite, The New Pornographers, struck a chord (I swear I wasn’t trying to come up with a music pun there) with the rest of the jury and have been awarded first place. Ruling.
Also, my current favourite Vancouver act, Dan Mangan, wound up 29th on the list! I was asked to write a little something about him (minus music puns), which you can read HERE.

Nice! I love lists esp when theyre about town. And you know you’re someone when you’re asked to be on a list panel……one day, one day.
