That’s my cat! His name is Oliver. He was staying with my boyfriend in East Van while I was in Jamaica. He escaped for 2 days.

Yes he came back, sometimes he just takes off for 8 or so hours.

I think I did a triple-take with this cat, and sent the link to my girlfriend as well. Oliver is a dead-ringer for one of our cats, Chewbacca (Chewy). But Chewy has been a Burnaby cat for over a year now. He now wears a bell because he is a prolific hunter.

Mayne Coon? Is that the breed?

Not Mayne Coon. His mom was pure Ragdoll and the dad, no idea? The mom scratched through the screen to get out and came back prego. I am assuming he was a bad ass alley Tabby.

I have Oliver’s badass sister, Tuna. She’s a hunter of laps and stays indoors…cause outside just can’t handle her. Maybe we could photo-document the reunion with her and Oliver?

I don’t recall the exact street, but it was somewhere in Hastings Sunrise.

Now I’m starting to wonder if this could be Chewy. He lived with us at Triumph and Ingleton (not a stretch that he could travel down to Hastings-Sunrise), and this photo was taken in late 2008 (or the camera’s date is off)?
I wonder if Chewy had earned the nick in his ear by that time; I can’t tell by the photo…

Wow – this cat also looks like my Lola! She was a rescue, but I was told by a Westjet employee (my cats flew from Ottawa to Vancouver), that she is a Norwegian Forest Cat. I love that these cat photos are being taken. I’ll keep an eye on the feed – maybe I’ll see my Lola and my Fergus :)
