My wife is pretty hardcore with library movie rentals as well. If you’re in the right branch at the right time, you get some pretty awesome quickviews.

in the past little bit, ive rented A Band a Part, some Zhang Yimou movies, Casino Royale, Chomsky documentary, Brazil travel documentary, Bernie Madoff documentary, and tons of others which i am never able to finish in the week’s time. i think you’re allowed 5 dvds at a time. yeah, you’d be pretty surprised what others you can find though, its not all artsy farts and foreigns.

btw, the brand new bby kingsway lib in HIGHgate ;p is now open and really bright and shiny if you drive by at night.

is that a new library at kingsway and main too?

Yeah….my new game plan is going through the ‘what’s new’ section of dvd’s and getting them shipped to my nearest library. That and like what keith said…diggin’ through the crates….

When a video pops into my mind I check it too but yeah, like most I like to browse.

i spend quit a bit of time with my dad at cameron branch library in burnaby by lougheed since i also live on the hastings sunrise and we always find the coolest stuff – especially when it comes to martial arts movies and films.

right now i have a stack of bruce lee’s fighting methods & wing-chun sitting on my shelves. they also always have a good collection of music – both new and old.

Were you aware that – if the “wu” in “Wu-Tang” is the same as the “wu” in “wushu,” which im sure is – its the same character as “Bu” in “bushi” or “bushido”?

? = “Wu” or “Bu”
?? = Wushu
??= Bushi (which became synonymous with samurai)
??? = Bushido
