The Proof
1. This is a self portrait carving that my dad did when he was around 20 years old, he went on to master wood carving and even has a piece in the Royal family’s private art collection.
2. This is part of my camera collection , every now and again I grab one of these babies which will usually have a partially roll of exposed film in it which I finish off and expose which surprises me with forgotten shots previously taken, Kind of like a Christmas present.
3. This Buddha sits in my living room and reminds me that I need to take deep breaths, relax and think of positive things.
4. Film bag on the left, digital on the right, sometimes you can never be prepared for a shot, I have had almost everything with me before and still needed something, you can never have enough equipment.
5. My living room that I can be found enjoying on a daily basis.
6. This car gets me to where I need to be on time, I love my Toyota.
7. A rare intimate photo of my 25 year long love affair, it wont be ending anytime soon.
8. This is my desk at work where I get it all done. pc vs. mac is not really an issue for me, I use both every day.
The Questions
What do you do and where?
I work for Timebomb Trading Inc. where I am the skateboard team manager for all skateboard specific brands, I also handle custom POP art requests for all brands that we distribute. I am also a photographer and have my own home business which I do part time.
What neighborhood do you live in?
I live in Shaughnessy across the street from all the mansions.
What are you working on?
I am currently working on multiple window graphic’s at work, as well as looking after all my team riders making sure they have what they need to shred on a daily basis. I have also been working on a series of black and white photo’s which involves daytime long exposures, slow speed film mixed with neutral density filters and long shutter speeds, very artsy and experimental.
Where can we find your work/websites?
For my work with graphics at Timebomb you can see a lot of stuff I do in our accounts storefronts for the brands that we distribute in Canada but I currently do not have a website set up for my photography, I feel I already have the contacts that I supply images to on the regular and I’m happy with working for those clients exclusively. If I do decide to one day do photography full time I would for sure need to have a website to show more of my work to potential clients and to display my work and to list previous clients. Google me I’m sure you’ll find something lol.
