I went to a press conference this morning for the soon-to-be-MLS team, our very own Vancouver Whitecaps, and I've returned with three awesome pieces of information for you. One is that Canadian soccer legend and now president of the Whitecaps, Bob Lenarduzzi, is offering the latest addition to our series of High Fiving Celebrities (see below and click HERE to see the others). Two is that season's tickets to the games start at a shockingly affordable $319, and they've already sold 10,000 of them and will be releasing a final 6500 on Saturday (these last ones will sell out quick so don't sleep!).
The third and most awesome piece of news is that the new logo for the Vancouver Whitecaps Major League Soccer team is, in my eyes, pretty much perfect. I always cringe when teams are about to unveil their new logos to the world, for the most part I am an optimist but I'm always expecting the worst when it comes to logos and am sometimes pleasantly surprised. But this design, this one is after my very heart. Simple, iconic, clean and it gets the point across. Vancouver Whitecaps FTW in 2011!
