Darker Circles

There are a ton of bands in Toronto, but only a few that be could lay claim to the mantel of "Toronto's Band" more then The Sadies. A band's band that is almost better known collaborations then they are for their own records. But the reason that people like Neil Young want to work with them is because of how awesome their own music is: Darker Circles is their greatest testament to this. Part Bad Seeds, part Byrds, part Morricone with a heavy dose of psych, they made a classic record that sounds cool and old without sounding retro.

My favorite song is Another Day Again. If there was a Polaris Prize for "Track One Side One" they would walk away with it.

Damian works his inner-music nerd, talking shop with Sadie Dallas Good in a record shop in downtown Toronto.
