Last week Vancouver Is Awesome co-sponsor and co-hosted a show at the Railway for Media Democracy Day called PULL THE PLUG. It was a huge success with a great turn out and the bands were all amazing. Check out the shots below (and thanks to Leigh Eldridge for shooting while I was on stage!)

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: is a special one for me. Starting Wednesday I will be in Kelowna for BREAK OUT WEST and the Western Canadian Music Awards! There are 3 days of shows which I will most likely be RUNNING between and then the awards gala on Sunday. But if you're in Vancouver instead, never fear! There are plenty of shows this week that I WOULD be attending if I were here: Michael Bernard Fitzgerald (is opening for LIGHTS) at the Vogue on Wednesday, The Acorn is at the Biltmore on Thursday, Foals is at Venue and Nat Jay/Dom Fricot/David Vertesi are at Trees on Friday, Mumford and Sons is at the Vogue on Saturday...and there is MUCH more going on, so have fun!
