All this talk about Marine Drive sink holes, and this little guy, reminded me of a post I made some time ago. The Thorton Tunnel runs from the foot of the Second Narrows all the way to Dawson Street near Brentwood. That's friggin' far.
It's the longest tunnel in the province, and as recently pointed out to me, has the largest, based on the real estate, the most expensive vent in the city, a house in Norburn. I must have walked past this place a dozen times and never had any idea it's purpose. Well now I know....and you do too!
