Okay, bad pun, but now you want to know what's up right?

Well, Sirius Canada just launched a contest where Vancouver has a chance to win a big show in a small venue!

How does it work you ask?

Well first you have to go to the Face The Music website and register (through email or facebook)...then you play the game.

Essentially what happens is you're given a series of clips from songs played on different Sirius stations and you'll have to identify either the artist or the song.

Simple as that! And the faster you do it the more points you get, the more points you get, the more points VANCOUVER gets, which is good because we're competing against other western cities from BC to SK. (oh and did I mention the suburbs - Penticton is currently wooping us, Salmon Arm too - Richmond is right on our tail, as is Burnaby).

By playing you're entered to win tickets to the concert AND if you have the highest national score (I'm currently in 21st) you'll be flown to the Face The Music show of your choice (there are some sweet ones) and of course you will feel smarter for knowing your music trivia (seriously, it is addicting, how do you think I got to #21?!).

The show that will hopefully come to our fair city is SAM ROBERTS, and THE TREWS. (Central Canada is competing for Broken Social Scene and Bedouin Soundclash, Quebec for Marie Mai and Alfa Rococo, and out East is battling for City and Colour and K-OS) and VIA will have two tickets to give away to participants from the winning city.

So play the game, and tell your friends to do it as well. I'll be updating you guys over the summer how we're doing in the competition and if my blog posts don't come out on time, you can blame Face The Music, because I'm trying to get to #1.

(Oh and if you're tweeting your score, use #Siriusftm)
