What was the last thing you drew before this?
The last thing time that I drew before this was an art session last week with my three-year old and nine-year old children. We had an afternoon where we all sat together to enjoy painting and drawing people. Typically this will start out with drawing pictures of our family unit–however, in the kids’ eyes, the family unit is bigger than our immediate family and usually includes every pet, extended family, and sometimes everyone who ever visits the house so it is quite an undertaking. Drawing and painting are some of our favourite family activities to do together and I am always amazed at how imaginative the kids can be.
I picked this daily drawing project for a couple of reasons – it was pretty quick and I liked being able to find a way to fit some drawing into a busy day. It was also fun to imagine even more activity into this scene of a warm sunny day – like a way of showing, where would I be if I could go anywhere just for an afternoon?
