If I needed a reminder that it’s time to go on a summer road trip to an island destination in BC it arrived in the office today in the form of Grant Lawrence‘s Book, Adventures in Solitude, in audiobook format!

We told you about it a couple years back (HERE), giving it a glowing review and subsequently including it as one of our very first Vancouver Book Club Reads. We shared THIS PLAYLIST themed around the book which you can listen to, and in between then and now Grant and his hilarious memoir about Desolation Sound have gone on to become award winning and, dare I say, even legendary. He’s toured BC over, stopping at many a literary festival and bookstore to do live readings, pounding the pavement promoting one of my favourite books about BC ever published.

And now, today, Harbour Publishing has released an audiobook version of Adventures in Solitude, in which Grant shares two and a half hours worth of stories that became favourites from his aforementioned readings.
