Welcome to In The Village on False Creek, a unique project inspired by Live@YVR and 365 Days of Dining. I’ve moved my family into this community with my mission being to showcase the myriad of things that make it awesome by bringing you a weekly scoop!

Over the past few months my friend Betsy Cooper has been labouring away at opening the first pet store in the Village. The Bone & Bowl will be opening in the same parcel that London Drugs is located in, right adjacent to the giant sparrows in the public square.

While they’re finishing off construction they figured they’d do a pre-opening pop-up shop at the neighbour’s, Tap & Barrel, at One Athlete’s Way. Stop by this Saturday from 10AM-5PM and check out some of the food, treats, toys, coats, sweaters and beds that they’ll be selling. They’re stocking lots of great brands like Bowsers Beds, West Paw Design, Go! and Now!, Dublin Dog, ChuckIt and more. They’ve also got a lot of great local products from independent crafts people that they’ve sourced through Etsy. HERE are the details, I hope to see you there.

Look up #dogsinthevillage on Instagram and these two are certain to pop up! Village locals Archie and Maggie. Awesome. Maggie’s red sweater is made by a company called West Paw and will be available at the pop-up.
