Dine Out Vancouver Has Arrived! – Here’s my Dine Around Preview

Dine Out Vancouver has begun! Starting today (Jan 18th), and running until Feb 3rd you can dine at over 200 Vancouver restaurants, eating meals at $18, $28, and $38 price points, check out some amazing and mouth-watering events, and maybe experience a meal at that place you’ve always wanted to try.

I got do go on a little Dine Around preview to three restaurants, all offering Dine Out menus and have a sneak peak to wet your appetites:

First up, forage at the Listel Hotel on Robson…(check out their Dine Out menu by clicking here).

Above: Game Terrine with IPA mustard, house made pickled vegetables, pickled walnuts

Above: BC spot prawn and seafood chowder, soft-poached egg, smoked chicharrón, pork hock (PS this is the winning chowder from the Chowder Chowdown at the Aquarium a little while back…it’s AMAZING).

Below: Gelderman Farms pork belly with crackling, celeriac pomme puree, ambrosia apple, braised cabbage

Our second stop was Cork + Fin in Gastown – where you can select from their 3 Course Savoury Prix Fixe or from their Dine Out Menu!

And our final stop was over at Fray on Fraser for some delicious comfort food… and amazing dessert. Check out the Dine Out menu (and check their schedule because they have trivia nights and other awesome events happening)!

Above: Portobello fries A Jenga stack of lightly fried and breaded portobello mushroom strips with sun-dried tomato aioli.
Below: Superfood salad Organic quinoa with kale, crispy chickpeas, kidney beans, beets, celery, herbs and seasonal super foods with a raspberry vinaigrette.


Above: Maple Bacon Jam Burger 7oz beef patty with sautéed mushrooms, Monterey Jack cheese, on a bed of our chefs secret maple bacon jam.
Below: 5 layer mile high chocolate cake with chocolate Ganesh filling and mixed berry compote.
