If you've been following our blog for a while then you're familiar with the fact that since 2010 I've represented V.I.A. on the judging panel for the Honda Celebration of Light fireworks competition that lights up English Bay for a few wonderful nights each summer. Around this time every year I take great pleasure (and pride!) in announcing the folks who will be joining me in the most enjoyable and rewarding volunteer gig I've ever taken on.
This year's judging panel is made up of:

"How do you even judge fireworks, anyway?" was a question I answered back in 2010 when I was first brought on to the panel, and though the scoring has changed a little bit over the years THIS BLOG POST outlines the basics of how we declare a winner.
