It's kind of great when you're there for a band's debut performance, esp when they're as entertaining as Mu was on Friday at the Cobalt. Be sure to check them out before they become the next big thing, so you too can say you saw them way back when!

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: has a whole bunch of shows, and most of them are on Friday! But first on Thursday head to the Cobalt to see Dougal Bain McLean, The Crackling, and Laura Mina Mitic.  Friday Mounties are having their Vancouver tour-kickoff at the Commodore with Rich Aucoin and JPNSGRLS, which is going to be a TON of fun. Over at the Rickshaw that night you can see an event dubbed "Weird People Should Play Music Together" ft. The Oh Wells, and Altered By Mom... and at the Rio Theatre, Aidan Knight is in town with James Vincent McMorrow. Something for everyone! On Saturday the next instalment of Rain City Chronicles - "Das Lexikon" is at the Alpen Club, and even has dinner included! Get your tickets here, and have a great week!
