Here's a message from the Vancouver Aquarium that you need to see. #IsupportVanAqua

About a year ago V.I.A. came on board as an ongoing SPONSOR of the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise program, just one of many educational and advocacy efforts that they do over there. Their team is made up of 1,500 conservationists who work hard every day to protect our oceans and the aquatic life within them, doing some of the most awesome work in our city - and our country - when it comes to educating the public and essentially breeding more conservationists. On purpose.

Over the past few weeks you've no doubt seen our friends at the Aquarium in the headlines as a perfect storm of a documentary film release and an upcoming election have allowed some opportunistic voices to condemn their (perceived) practices. It's a complicated issue, to be certain, and one of the most thoughtful articles I've read so far has been THIS ONE authored by Stephen Quinn for the Globe and Mail, summing it up. Today the Aquarium released this video below along with a FACT SHEET about the work they do. I hope you'll take the time to dig in and see what's really happening at what I personally feel is the single most important conservation facility in Canada.
