Did you know that there's a company that supplies music festivals with chip-embedded wristbands for festival goers to wear so that they don't have to bring cash OR credit cards with them? It's called Intellitix and Squamish Valley Music Festival is using their services this year.
They're expecting up to 35,000 people each day, and every one of them will be issued a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) wristband, which will be their sole method of access and payment across the festival site. Gone are the days when you have to worry about losing your wallet... because you'll likely want to leave it at home.
