The new feature film, Open, premiering at the Rio Theatre on November 18th promises "an exciting, adrenaline filled journey skateboarding through Israel" and aims to familiarize people outside of the sport of longboarding in what they're calling a "perfect introduction into a new world". 14 girls from 11 different countries were selected to participate in this adventure and one of them was Vancouver native, Katie Neilson, who is a former Women’s World Champion and rides for local company Landyachtz Longboards.
