44 year old man lands backflip on a skateboard at Hastings Skatepark

At 44 years old, Rob "Sluggo" Boyce was a part of the first wave of professional skateboarders from Canada in the 1990s, and is one of our most notable from over the years.

At 44 years old, Rob "Sluggo" Boyce was a part of the first wave of professional skateboarders from Canada in the 1990s, and is one of our most notable from over the years. Co-founder of RDS Skate Supply and Centre Distribution, he stopped competing about a decade ago to pursue work as a professional stuntman for TV and film but you can still see him out in the streets from time to time. And every year or so you'll see him show up at an event like Vans' Van Doren International at Hastings Park and pull out a trick like this backflip to fakie (a trick which he invented and was the first to land, back in 1998).
