When I founded Vancouver Is Awesome nearly 8 years ago it was a fairly direct response to the "No Fun City" mantra that was front and centre in the media (social and traditional), incessantly reminding us of all the things that were wrong with Vancouver. Meant as a refuge you can go to when you want to be reminded of all the great stuff that keeps you living here, the resource that is V.I.A. continues to be a yin to the yang of bad news and naysaying; we couldn't exist without each other.
Yesterday the comedy duo I Focking Hate That (who are essentially Vancouver's Lonely Island crew) released this hilarious music video which points out all of the reasons why our city isn't any fun. It's obviously presented tongue-in-cheek, and it's right up our alley. Enjoy!
