I do a lot of work with the Pacific Salmon Foundation - in fact I sit on the planning committee for their annual gala fundraiser - and it was cool to get a look inside another environmental charity dedicated to healthy waterways.

It was a star-studded night with speakers Les Stroud (of Survivorman), David Suzuki, Terry David Mulligan, Jacob Hoggard from Hedley, filmmaker Jennifer Baichwal... and the list goes on. While the topics on stage and on screen in front of us were serious the feeling of the night was celebratory as folks from all corners came together to pitch in to support conservation. At one point I cornered Suzuki in the bathroom with Grant Lawrence, capturing this shameless selfie.
