They've done it: Montreal's Cirque du Soleil has finally come up with a show on ice, and it's going to be in Metro Vancouver this spring.

Crystal will showcase the world-renown troupe's incredible artistry and acrobatics during what promises to be an unforgettable on ice experience.

Cirque du Soleil is known for its captivating storytelling, and Crystal definitely seems to be in line with the kind of visual and physical narrative the group presents. Here's the story synopsis:

Follow Crystal, our lead character, on an exhilarating tale of self-discovery as she dives into a world of her own imagination. Feel the adrenaline as she soars through this surreal world at high speed to become what she was always destined to be: confident, liberated, empowered.

Expect to see everything from ballroom-style dancing to trapeze artists and even a hockey game as part of the action.

Currently on a North American tour, Crystal will be at the Abbotsford Centre for a short run from April 11 to 15, 2018. Dates further afield in B.C. include in Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Centre (April 18 to 22) and in Prince George at the CN Centre April 25 to 29.

Tickets are available online via Cirque du Soleil.
