Clowning around in Stanley Park was only part of the fun for Doug, Heather and Jenna last Sunday. During Vancouver's birthday celebrations the family took part in the Children's Parade and had a good time showing off some otherwise hidden talents. Hall mark

As Mayor Mike Harcourt quipped last Friday; pregnant women will no longer mistakenly show up at city hall at 12th and Cambie looking for a place to deliver their baby. An official sign now marks the spot so people won't wander in thinking it's part of Vancouver General Hospital. The sign was a Centennial gift to the city from civic employers and cost $15,000. The unveiling Thursday was made by Harcourt and Centennial mascot Tillicum. Shown here are before-and-after looks at the new Vancouver sign.
