Let's face it: You've got goals. Lots of Canadians make Bucket Lists of the ultimate things to see and do...but sometimes we can get so ambitious we barely make a dent it.
A newly-released Great Canadian Bucket List aims to give us 25 do-able things from coast to coast, including five awesome B.C. adventures you can easily knock off. The list was published by InterContinental Hotels Group (so, obviously their angle is...stay at one of their properties if you're traveling in Canada; that's totally up to you) and it includes 25 achievements that are easy to unlock thanks to access and affordability.
Here are the five things you can do in B.C. from the Great Canadian Bucket List:
- Cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver
- Go for Gold at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond
- Witness the sockeye salmon run in Kamloops
- Cycle along Okanagan Valley’s wine route
- See a fiesta of hot air balloons in Vernon
Some of the other bucket list items will send you to Stratford, Ontario to experience the Shakespeare Festival; eating smoked meat in Montreal (a little harder for the vegan bucket-listers); stomping at the Calgary Stampede; diving in at the West Edmonton Mall; meeting polar bears in Winnipeg; and getting "screeched in" in St. John's, Newfoundland.
If you plan things right, you could easily get all of the B.C. things done within a year, and many just with a couple of day or weekend trips in the coming weeks--but you'll have to wait for February for the hot air balloons.
