Clockwise from top: Trollfest, Iron Kingdom and Syryn will all be playing at the 2024 Hyperspace MetalFest.

For three days fans of melodic and power metal will be gathering in Vancouver venues for Hyperspace MetalFest.

Now in it's fifth year, the 2024 edition is bringing 15 bands from far and wide, literally, into the city this April. The festival will be taking over the Rickshaw Theatre for two nights, and the Wise Hall for one.

"This year's edition 2024 lineup is their most epic to date," say organizers in a press release, which includes a playlist.

On the far side of things there are bands coming from Northern Europe, like Trollfest (from Oslo, Norway) and Týr (from the tiny Faroe Islands which are part of the Kingdom of Denmark), as well as all over the US, like Aether Realm (from North Carolina) and Flotsam and Jetsam (from Phoenix).

On the near side, there are bands like Iron Kingdom (from Vancouver), Sleeper Ship (from Victoria) and Naitaka (from Kelowna).

“Here we go with another Hyperspace Metal Festival, and this is the biggest one yet," says organizer Joey Hockin in the press release. "I feel like this is a dream lineup for us, one that we’ve been working towards since the inception of the festival."

Tickets for all three nights are $90. Tickets for the April 11 show at the Wise Hall are $30, while each night at the Rickshaw is $40.
