The death of a woman held by Iran's morality police has ignited protests, clashes, and unrest in the country, which have claimed at least three lives to date.
Protests have rippled across the globe in solidarity with the woman, Mahsa Amini, including in Vancouver, where several protests have happened within the span of a week.
The city's Persian community had previously organized a protest on Sept. 19 at the Vancouver Art Gallery and Thursday (Sept. 21), in front of the U.S. Embassy downtown.
The Instagram account and "the biggest Iranian social network in B.C.," Persian Vancouver, announced a date for a third protest this weekend.
The upcoming protest will be "in the name of all Iranians," in solidarity with those protesting in Iran, and will take place on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
