The 5th annual Vancouver Halloween Parade & Expo is returning to Vancouver on Sunday, October 7th for three full days of fun.
The festival, inspired by comics, anime, video games and varies, mythologies, promises a variety of finely crafted, creative costumes. The parade starts at 11 am on Sunday, in downtown Vancouver, and will bring the city's beloved superheroes and fantasy characters to the heart of the city.
What's more, the massive event draws over 100,000 spectators. Of course, anyone who wants to participate in the parade will have to register in advance; however, it is a great deal of fun to get into character for a day. Also, over 1,000 people volunteer their time in order to make the massive offering run smoothly.
As Vancouver's largest cosplay event, the event also includes floats, marching bands, and even special effects.
With that in mind, the festival is family friendly. As a result, guests are prohibited from donning gory or bloody costumes.
