Nice Cafe, a casual Mount Pleasant diner known for their breakfasts, has shuttered suddenly.
A Reddit Vancouver user posted a photo of the Main Street restaurant on Sunday, noting that it seemed to spot closed out of the blue and with no notice or signage.
Nice Cafe's Facebook page was last updated in late August regarding a brief closure for repairs. The diner did not have a website.
The diner served up classics like burgers and sandwiches and "greasy spoon" style breakfast combo plates, with most dishes coming in at around $8-10 a pop.
"[I] will always miss your hash browns and ginormous hot cakes," mourns one fan on Instagram.

Signage up on the windows indicates the space will be turned into Melo Patisserie, the project of a pastry chef who has been making sweet treats all over the globe since 2016.
We are trying to reach out to the Nice Cafe and Melo Patisserie to get more information on the changes at 154 East 8th Avenue.
