Country star Sam Hunt is playing a show on Weds. Sept. 18, 2024 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

Anyone looking for a country music show this month won't have to hunt much longer because Sam Hunt is nearly here.

The former high school football player and current massive country star is playing a show on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Rogers Arena.

Known for songs like his breakout hit "Leave the Night On," as well as "Take Your Time" and "Body Like a Backroad," Hunt has gained legions of fans over the past decade, along with several awards and nominations, including the 2017 Choice Country Song at the Teen Choice Awards.

Opening for Hunt will be country pop singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson (perhaps best known for "Love You Like I Used To") and Dalton Dover ("Giving Up On That"), who was named one of TIDAL's artists to watch in 2024.

It appears gates open at 6 p.m. (as per Hunt's website) with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. (as per Ticketmaster's website).

Tickets

There are still a fair number of tickets available for the show, in a few clusters. There appear to be lots available directly to the right and left of the stage, or in the first few rows in front of Hunt.

Tickets for the show are relatively affordable compared to other acts who've recently played at Rogers Arena.

Some resale tickets are going for as low as $41 on Ticketmaster's site while original tickets are selling for about $57 ($62 after additional fees) in the cheap seats.

There is still room in the pit as well, with tickets running about $160. For those who want to be close, but also sit sometimes, seats on the floor are running between $62 and $170.

Transportation

Hullo is running a late-night ferry on Wednesday night for anyone needing to get to Vancouver Island after the show. It'll leave the Vancouver harbour dock at 11:55 p.m.

TransLink hasn't announced any major alerts or additions for service for Sept. 18. No other major events happening around the arena at the same time.

Restrictions

A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.

Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.

Other common-sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.

Cashless venue

Rogers Arena has gone cashless.

"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.

Fan service

Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.

Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
