Our Expo 86 Quarter Century Lookback Party that we're throwing with Science World and Yelp.ca is going down this Friday under the dome!
As promised, over the few days leading up I'm going to share some of the best of the collectibles that I've managed to procure over the years thanks to Ebay, Craigslist and other ways like trading and the simple good will of people who have donated their Expo 86 stuff to my shelf in order to make me smile (I never got to visit Expo, ya know).
First I'd like to share this relatively amazing Swatch that is still new in the box! A dude out in Burnaby was selling a bunch of them for $50 each off of Craigslist a couple of years back and at the time I could only afford this one (there's a similar one in women's sizing). The battery doesn't work (I assume it dies about 20 years ago) but the watch itself is still in mint condition. I'm going to strap it to my wrist this Friday after prying open the back and hopefully replacing that old battery.
Not only is the watch itself a great collectible but the box it comes in is branded and will be kept in safe keeping until I return the timepiece to it on Saturday morning.
The party is this Friday, don't miss it! BUY TICKETS HERE!
