Locals can spot actors filming on the set of an internationally-syndicated TV show at the Vancouver Art Gallery today.
Family Law is filming scenes at the popular downtown filming location throughout the day on Tuesday, June 7 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., according to a resident notification law by FLS2 Production Services Inc.
Exterior scenes were filmed at 1931 Gallery Bistro (the patio restaurant) until 11 a.m. After that, exterior scenes will be filmed until 5 p.m. in the gallery's north plaza. The crew will film scenes in the south plaza from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and then finish packing up by approximately 9 p.m.
There will be temporary "no stopping" zones in various locations in the area throughout the day.
Vancouver film: Family Law TV show
It’s very rare for Vancouver to play itself in a TV show, making Family Law (set at a downtown Vancouver law firm) unique. Starring Victor Garber, season three is now filming, and the Corus series has been picked up for international syndication, including Italy, Australia and the US (on The CW).
The one-hour drama follows a "group of flawed family members who reluctantly work together at their father's law firm in downtown Vancouver," according to IMDB.
Locals have previously shared images of the company filming scenes at Jericho beach.
Production is slated to continue until the end of August.
