Superhero TV shows frequently film in Vancouver. But when was the last time you saw some actors on set?
While there are multiple productions filming in the city at any given time, chances are slim that you'll spot a Hollywood heavyweight delivering an awe-inspiring performance right in front of you — and that isn't because they aren't delivering the goods locally.
If you want to up your chances of soaking in some of these TV-worthy scenes, you want to plan your outing in advance.
Now in filming for its ninth season, The Flash is a CW TV show about a superhero who assumes his awesome powers after being struck by lightning. Actor Grant Gustin plays the lead role (Barry Allen) in the show.
The show's production company, Water Tower Production Services Inc, has notified residents of the Gastown area that it will be filming scenes for the popular show overnight night on Wednesday (April 13) at the corner of Carrall Street and Expo Boulevard.
There will be a temporary "no stopping" zone on the west side of the 000 block of Pacific Boulevard from Pat Quinn Way to Carrall Street from 7 a.m. until midnight on Wednesday.
There will also be three "no stops" zones on Thursday morning between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
