Music on Main is returning for another year of free concerts and performances at Mount Pleasant Park on Aug. 14-16 and Aug. 21-23, 2023.

A free music festival is popping up in Vancouver next month. 

Music on Main is bringing a series of evening summer concerts to Mount Pleasant Park on August 14-16 and August 21-23, with all concerts beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Vancouverites can come by to enjoy live tunes from local singers and instruments such as the flute, harp, and cello. There will also be a string quartet, original Persian compositions, and classical arrangements, among many more musical acts. 

This is the schedule for the first set of concerts:

  • August 14 - Raincity Quartet with Brooklyn Wood and Yiyi Hsu on the violins, Alex Beggs on the viola, and Bruno Quezada on the cello
  • August 15 - Saaz o Raaz featuring Saina Khaledi on the santour, Ali Sajjadi on the oud, Ali Razmi on the tar, Sharanjeet Singh Mand on the sitar, and Sunny Matharu on the tabla.
  • August 16 - Performances by Paolo Bortolussi on the flute, Clavin Dyck on the violin and accordion, Krystal Morrison on the clarinet, and Mark Beaty on bass.

The schedule for the second set of shows (Aug. 21-23) has not been announced yet.
