There are a number of awesome events happening this Halloween in Vancouver, and many of them take place before the big night arrives.
As such, you'll be able to get your fill of ghoulish festivities, and then some!

Halloween in Vancouver
Stanley Park Ghost Train

The Stanley Park Ghost Train offers "A Nightmare in Vancouver" through the haunted woods as it returns for its annual haunted adventure. Join Pumpkin King Jack on his journey as his lantern casts a light on floating druids, a 12-foot monster, and creatures barely human! Several trains depart during each half-hour time slot.
When: October 11th to October 31st
Where: Pipeline Road in Stanley Park, via the West Georgia Street park entrance.
Cost: Free for children under 2, $8 for children under 12, $9 for seniors & youth 12-18, and $12 for adults. Matinees are $6.
Halloween Club Crawl
This epic Halloween Club Crawl visits eight of the hottest clubs in downtown Vancouver. What's more, guests get to ride around in an epic party bus with an incredible sound system, and party goers skip lines and cover.

Vancouver Aquarium Halloween
After Hours at the Vancouver Aquarium invites you to enjoy A Nightmare in Stanley Park this Halloween. Not only will you get to observe the intriguing nocturnal habits of more than 50,000 fascinating aquatic creatures, but you will also get to see a screening of the exhilarating Shark: A 4-D Experience.

Halloween Costume Ball
The 12th annual Halloween Costume Ball returns to the Telus World of Science for another year of spooktacular fun. There will be two floors of music that includes Vancouver’s best DJs and performers, as well as 1100+ ghoulish guests at this iconic venue. The soiree promises purely lavish decor, extravagant costumes, hell-raising sound and lighting systems, and even five fully stocked bars.

Halloween Boat Party

This epic Halloween Boat Party in False Creek provides 400 guests with two levels of spooktacular stomping grounds for evening. There is a cash bar, dinner, Djs, and live entertainment all night long. Passengers board in False Creek, and sail off to party!

Glow in the Garden
Enter a magical, illuminated wonderland of glowing jack o'lanterns and vibrant displays at the annual Glow in the Garden festival at Vancouver’s VanDusen Botanical Garden. This year's theme is Hänsel and Gretel, and will take guests on a whimsical journey through the haunted forest.

Haunted Village
Enjoy the haunted Burnaby Village come nightfall in the Haunted Village experience. Join the party at the Hill Street Bash, or check out the repair services at the ‘Broom Closet’ (a witches’ broom repair shop!) There's lots to do and see, including trick-or-treating and carousel rides.

The Great Big Boo
The Great Big Boo plays at Cineplex, and offers a mix of musical trick-or-treating in this spectacular, non-scary show. Larger than life characters will delight the whole family with their charming hi-jinx and they solve the real meaning of Halloween.

The 5th annual Vancouver Halloween Parade & Expo is returning to Vancouver on Sunday, October 7th for a weekend of fun! The annual parade takes place in the heart of downtwon Vancouver and showcases a bevy of beautiful costumes, and many of them are the most iconic superheroes of all time. The festival, inspired by comics, anime, video games and varies, mythologies, promises a variety of entertainment and activities.

Fright Nights
Fright Nights returns to Playland with over 20 stomach-dropping rides, but they will also get the chance to catch gripping live shows, eight haunted houses and much more! What's more, there will be live-actors roaming the grounds ready to scare unassuming guests..

Haunted Trolley

This two-and-a-half hour rendezvous takes guests on a spooky journey through the city’s haunted streets. Along the way, the Haunted Trolley tour host will regale passengers with gruesome tales of The Castelanni Milkshake Murder, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s “Lady in Red” and much more. Following that, the tour even visits Vancouver’s first city morgue, where over 15,000 autopsies have been performed!

The Nightmare Before Christmas at The Rio Theatre
The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to The Rio Theatre this Halloween season with a spooky symphony that is sure to mesmerize guests. A ten-piece orchestra will follow the iconic journey of Jack, the Pumpkin King, as he attempts to bring the Christmas spirit to his spooktacular hometown.

A Night for all Souls
A Night for all Souls offers a totally unique experience to view a variety of beautiful shrines in honour of the dead. The annual affair is considered at Mountain View Cemetery is considered a non-denominational sacred event, meant to honour souls that have passed on.

Potter’s House of Horrors
Potter’s House of Horror in Surrey is horrifically decadent. They go the extra mile when it comes to serving up the screams, complete with all sorts of expected scary tactics and a few peculiar monstrosities.

Reapers Haunted Attraction
Described as the “scariest indoor theatrical horror experience in Western Canada,” Reapers Haunted Attraction in Chilliwack is not recommended for children under 10 years old. “An insane asylum themed haunt bringing the horrors of crazed patients to twisted Doctors and Hospital staff,” promises to deliver some nightmares.

Scary Corn Maze
This fall you can tackle the “five acres of pure terror” at the Maan Farms Haunted Corn maze as part of their seasonal celebrations. “From the city all you can hear are the screams resonating from the fields on the farm,” they tease on their website, adding: “There is nowhere you’ll be safe and nowhere we won’t be waiting for you!”
