While there are a number of things to do in Vancouver during the Halloween season, haunted houses provide some of best spooky experiences.
Whether they are comprised of numerous houses, such as at Fright Nights, or they simply pack all the terror into one space, the city's scary attractions never fail to produce screams a plenty.

2018 Haunted Houses
Reapers Haunted Attraction

Described as the “scariest indoor theatrical horror experience in Western Canada,” Reapers Haunted Attraction in Chilliwack is not recommended for children under 10 years old. “An insane asylum themed haunt bringing the horrors of crazed patients to twisted Doctors and Hospital staff,” promises to deliver some nightmares.

Potter’s House of Horrors
Potter’s House of Horror in Surrey is horrifically decadent. They go the extra mile when it comes to serving up the screams, complete with all sorts of expected scary tactics and a few peculiar monstrosities.

Edgemont Haunt

It began in 2006 with a humble Halloween display that included nothing more than a homemade tombstone prop and a rubber zombie mask. Now, Edgemont Haunt is a monstrous spectacle! There is a front yard cemetery full of ghosts’ n’ ghouls, a horde of zombies and an eight-foot tall caged werewolf! Proceeds benefit the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, and this year's theme is ‘The House That Dripped Blood."

Fright Nights
Fright Nights returns to Playland with over 20 stomach-dropping rides, but they will also get the chance to catch gripping live shows, eight haunted houses and much more! What’s more, there will be live-actors roaming the grounds ready to scare unassuming guests..

Dream Horror Live Haunted House

The Commercial Drive classic returns with more trap doors, crawl spaces and tight spaces. Moreover, the Dream Horror Live Haunted House showcases 21 live actors that are ready to scare you senseless. Sadly, this will be the houses last year of frightening fun, and therefore fans should make sure they get one or two visits in.

Scary Corn Maze
This fall you can tackle the “five acres of pure terror” at the Maan Farms Haunted Corn maze as part of their seasonal celebrations. “From the city all you can hear are the screams resonating from the fields on the farm,” they tease on their website, adding: “There is nowhere you’ll be safe and nowhere we won’t be waiting for you!”
