Vancouver's annual Fan Expo returned this weekend, after taking a couple of years off due to the pandemic.
This year the convention ran from Feb. 19 to 21 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, where booths, panels and more were set up. Events ranged from a panel with the Shat himself, to local author Eve Lazarus talking about true crime in Vancouver, to a Harry Potter sorting hat ceremony.
There was even a Squid Game candy cutting challenge (though it wasn't 100 per cent accurate to the show).
One of the big things at all sorts of fan expos now are the costumes; here are some of those.
It should be noted that while Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is part of Star Wars now, his character isn't a Jedi, so let's chalk this up as a fan dressing up.
By law, this has to happen at every fan expo.
It wasn't all about the costumes though. There were lots of celebrity sightings as well, like Kevin Smith and the Trailer Park Boys.
And of course, there were the humble shop keepers, purveyors of (in this case) stuff you can't find elsewhere.
