Vancouver will be playing the role of Paradise City tonight as Guns N' Roses rolls into town.
The massive rock band is playing at BC Place tonight, Oct. 16, along with Alice in Chains.
Guns N' Roses has a checkered past with Vancouver. While they've played several successful shows here, they also caused a massive riot 20 years ago after Axl Rose didn't show up for a show at what was then called GM Place (now Rogers Arena). The doors didn't open on time, and the show was cancelled an hour later, while thousands were outside.
That was the first show of that tour. This time around, Vancouver is the final stop on the iconic rock band's 2023 tour.
Tickets
Tickets are still available for tonight's Vancouver show, with prices ranging from $42.70 for upper bowl seats to $437.85 in the pit right in front of the stage (prices include most Ticketmaster fees).
Hundreds of tickets are available in some parts of the stadium.

Early Showtime
The show is a little earlier than some, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and the show starting at 6 p.m. The first band on stage will be Seattle rockers Alice in Chains (often considered one of the grunge bands that launched the "Seattle sound" in the early 90s).

Getting there
SkyTrain
BC Place is located near the Expo Line’s Stadium–Chinatown Station and Canada Line’s Yaletown–Roundhouse Station.
Both SkyTrain lines will be operating their regular service and there will not be a special schedule or train to assist the concert crowd rush before or after the show.
Construction on the Canada Line's Capstan station will be cancelled tonight, Oct. 16, and the whole line will be running normally until 1:35 a.m.
Ferry
While BC Ferries will be running its normal schedule, Hullo Ferries is adding a sailing from downtown Vancouver to Nanaimo at 11:30 p.m.
Parking
BC Place warns parking will be tight in the area. Tonight the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and De La Soul will be playing at Rogers Arena. While the showtimes don't line up too closely, which means the crowds won't mix too much, parking lots will likely be full in the area.
Inside BC Place
Cash
BC Place is a cashless venue, which means all food, drinks, and merch bought once you're inside the stadium will need a credit or debit card for purchases.
If you do have physical money, you can load it onto a card on Level 1 near the food court, on Level 2 in section 235, and on Level 4 in section 446.
Merch
Merchandise will be for sale on Level 1 near section 103; on Level 2 in sections 205, 216, 222, 229, 233, and 249; and on Level 4 in sections 420 and 435.
An outdoor booth will also be set up on Terry Fox Plaza on the stadium's northeastern side near Robson Street.
Prohibited items
Glass or metal water bottles won't be allowed for the thirstier guests. Neither will homemade signs and posters.
Some gadgets are banned as well, including laptops, tablets, laser pointers, and larger cameras.
Bag and photo policies
BC Place has a strict bag policy and encourages people to not bring bags of any type unless it is a:
- Clutch purse or belt bag no larger than 6.5 by 8.5 inches
- Clear plastic bag (including clear plastic freezer bags) no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches
A bag check is available for $10 per piece. Diaper bags and medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag may be accepted.
Professional cameras and cameras with a detachable lens are not allowed into the venue. Cellphones and small personal cameras are allowed.
Sensory kits
The show may include strobe lights and haze effects.
Sensory kits will be available while supplies last at Guest Services on Level 1 and the Level 3 Concierge, along with section 234 on Level 2 and section 446 on Level 4.
There's also a sensory room near section 234.
