City and Colour will be playing at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Feb. 8.

Canada's City and Colour is returning this week for a show at Rogers Arena.

The prolific Dallas Green (also a singer and songwriter with Alexisonfire) will be playing Feb. 8 at Rogers Arena, bringing his brand of singer-songwriter, acoustic guitar-led rock to the arena. He's touring to support his seventh City and Colour album, The Love Still Held Me Near. Vancouver will be the second date on the tour; Victoria is first on Feb. 6.

Opening for City and Colour is Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats; playing traditional American rhythm and blues style, Rateliff and his band had a monster hit in 2015 with S.O.B.

Before either take the stage, the Juno-nominated Ruby Waters will take the stage. Fans of City and Colour may have seen her open for Green a few years ago when she played on an American tour with him.

Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets

Tickets are still available for the show, at a range of prices in a few different areas. While there are a couple resale tickets in the sub-$60 range, there are a lot more going for $66.65 (plus a processing fee) in the upper bowl of the arena.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are still spots in the standing-room-only pit directly in front of the stage, going for $214. If you still want to be close to the stage, but rather sit, floor seats will run you somewhere between $115 and $140.

Transportation

TransLink doesn't have any major transit service alerts for SkyTrain or SeaBus routes on Thursday night at time of publishing. Hullo hasn't lined up an extra sailing for Vancouver Island fans.

Restrictions

A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.

Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.

Other common sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.

Cashless venue

Rogers Arena has gone cashless.

"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.

Fan service

Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.

Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
