Popular singer-songwriter Joker Xue is coming to Vancouver for a show in the new year.
The Chinese performer will play a show on his Extraterrestrial tour at Rogers Arena on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 8 p.m., bringing a selection of hit songs to his large local fanbase.
While he is known worldwide for his music, the Shanghai-born star has also enjoyed success as an actor and a popular TV personality for his charm and humour. His smooth, baritone voice lends itself to his most popular hits, which are mostly heartfelt Mandopop ballads.
Mandopop is a style of popular Mandarin music that is "heavily influenced by popular jazz music in Shanghai in the 1930s, otherwise known as "Shidaiqu," notes Gig Life Pro.
Tickets went on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 with Ticketmaster.
