Another enchanting festival brings festive cheer to the Lower Mainland this winter with a magical light walk.
In association with MK Illumination, Lumagica kicks off on Dec. 3 at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds for a new outdoor/indoor holiday experience in Surrey.
Guests journey through a 1km light walk through diverse lands to soak in the spirit of the holidays. After that, they are transported through a light tunnel to Gingerbread Lane, leading to the magical North Pole Village. Here, they can enjoy the festive atmosphere complete with interactive displays, animation, photo opportunities and surprises galore for all ages.
There are over 120 features and ornaments in the light forests, and children can enjoy visiting Santa at his cabin in the North Pole. The magical atmosphere also presents the perfect backdrop for a festive family photo.
Guests can make their way through the light walk with hot cocoa, mulled wine, and snacks from various vendors in the park.
Stroll through the Ice Forest and stop at Frosty’s Patisserie for some ‘Spiced Eggnog Cannoli’ or ‘Christmas Chocolate Dipped Winter Waffle’. Wander through the Fantasy Forest and grab some hot cocoa, donuts and carnival snacks. Take a trip to the North Pole, where you will find ‘The Snow Shack’ selling some special treats. Finally, have a seat in the ‘Eat Drink & Be Merry’ hall where you’ll find some of JRG’s favourite menu items such as Korean chicken sandwich; turkey dinner poutine; chicken wings; pork gyoza; specialty pizzas and more, while enjoying live entertainment and browsing the holiday market.
The event is open every evening from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.
