Community members can learn about the salmon life cycle at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.

From events at the Cannery to art by donation, there's something for everyone this weekend.

1. Library family film club

Saturday, March 22, starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Brighouse branch of the Richmond Public Library is showing the Princess and the Frog at its Family Film Club. The film directed by Ron Clements and John Musker is rated PG. This is a drop-in event.

2. Art by donation at Richmond gallery

Sunday, March 23, 1 to 4 p.m.

Speak No (emergency) is closing at the Richmond Art Gallery this Sunday and the artist Persimmon Blackbridge is making a selection of her work available by donation to the public. All proceeds will go to the artist and the gallery.

3. Learn about salmon lifecycle

Until March 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Spring Break activities continue at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. At the Spring Break Salmon Run, participants can complete challenges to win a prize connected to the salmon lifecycle.

These activities continue until March 30.

Regular admission fees apply: Adults 18+ $13.25, Seniors (65+) $11.25, Youth (17 and under) – free
