A Vancouver reality TV star is at the centre of some heated dating drama.
Local influencer and Netflix reality personality Francesca Farago is among the many familiar faces on Netflix's newest dating show Perfect Match. The star made her first Netflix debut on the first season of Too Hot Too Handle.
Perfect Match quickly became the hottest show since premiering on Feb. 14, ranking second on Netflix's Top 10 list for the week of Feb. 13-19 and raking in over 24 million hours viewed.
The new series brings in contestants from other popular Netflix dating shows such as Too Hot To Handle, Love Is Blind, and The Circle.
"Each night, the contestants must pair up amongst themselves to share a private suite in a fancy villa. Then, couples will compete against other couples in compatibility challenges, where the winners will receive the ability to control which new singles enter the house and who they go on dates with," explains Netflix.
"Once the new singles enter the house, the participants must again decide who their Perfect Match is. Anyone left alone at the end of the night is eliminated."
The show is like a game of musical chairs and, unlike similar dating shows, contestants get to choose who enters the villa.
'Francesca you did what?'
Since the show's premiere, Perfect Match has been in the internet spotlight as fans watch the drama unfold.
Only the first four episodes were made available on the show's premiere date. Netflix released episodes five through eight on Tuesday (Feb. 21).
Fans have taken to social media to discuss the latest turn of events and the Vancouverite is bearing the brunt.
In summary, the fourth episode ended with Francesca and Dom winning their first compatibility challenge and getting to decide who enters the villa next. Dom chooses Damien. Francesca decides to explore her options and go on a date with Damien, leaving Dom surprised since the two are currently matched.
Francesca assumed Dom would go home but, instead, Dom and Georgia get together. Now, the villain of the villa is stirring up even more drama.
"If y’all still like Francesca after watching Perfect Match then you’re weird," writes one fan. "Francesca is the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen," says another.
Others are still shocked after what went down.
It seems like the drama has made fans love the show even more.
