A popular Netflix show starring Katherine Heigl is filming scenes in Metro Vancouver today at a church.
Firefly Lane is about two best friends who are always there for each other with an "unbreakable bond that carries them from their teens to their 40s," according to Netflix.
A resident notification letter from production company FFL S2 Productions Inc states that filming for the show will take place on Wednesday (April 20) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the front entrance to St. Andrew's Church located at 1044 St.Georges St in North Vancouver.
The film crew will use a drone throughout the duration of filming and there will be partial street closures and intermittent traffic control in place.

Katherine Heigl films scenes for Firefly Lane in Vancouver
In early October, locals shared images of American actress Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up, The Ugly Truth) and Canadian actress Sarah Chalke (Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother) filming the show outside of the Vancouver Club.
A local man recently met Heigl on a local set for the show. He shared an image of them posing for a picture, where he sports a black-and-red mask and the actress wears brown leisurewear.
"She's really nice," he commented.
